Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance, hydraulics, and the use of hand tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

• Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.

• Repair or replace faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

• Assemble and weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications.

• Conduct tire service including mounting, balancing, and repairs.

• Operate forklifts and other machinery safely while performing maintenance tasks.

• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a mechanic or service technician with a focus on fleet vehicles.

• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and hydraulic systems.

• Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.

• Ability to assemble components and perform welding tasks as required.

• Experience with tire service procedures is preferred.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.94 - $26.66 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Monday to Friday

• Weekends as needed
